Courses / Seminars : Attend Course to Prepare for Future Tournaments
With effect from 2010, all clubs shall be required to provide poomsae referees to qualify for participation in poomsae competitions organized by the Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF). These competitions include the National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships which have been scheduled to be held at the end of April 2010 for B and C Divisions and end of May 2010 for A Division.
To assist clubs to build a pool of poomsae referees, the STF will be organizing a national poomsae referee course on 5, 6 and 12 December 2009. The details of the course are attached.
Day/Date/Time: Saturday 5 December 2009 (4.00pm to 10.00pm)
Sunday 6 December 2009 (4.00pm to 10.00pm)
Duration: 12 hours
Test: Theory – Saturday 12 December 2009 (5pm to 6pm)
Practical – Saturday 12 December 2009 (7pm onwards)

Courses / Seminars : No Retest, No Promotion (Poomsae Upgrade Course)
Participants who have not taken their retest for the Poomsae Upgrading Course would not be promoted if they do not do so by Saturday 30 October 2009.
Those who wish to take the test may call Jolene, Theresa or Rosalind to arrange for the retest.
If you know of any coaches who have not taken the retest, please advise them to do so by the last date given. The Singapore Taekwondo Federation will not accept any excuse for the extension of the retest date.

Courses / Seminars : Unarmed Combat Course (Level 2)
The Level 2 unarmed combat course will be organized in November 2009.
All holders of Level 1 unarmed combat certification are invited to participate in the course which will be conducted under the supervision of RA Jeyaraman, a certified unarmed combat coach under the Asian Taekwondo Union.
His team will include Tan Kim Hoon who has many years of experience teaching unarmed combat in the Singapore Armed Forces and Mr Lim Keng Leong and Mr Tan Cheng Hui, both qualified unarmed combat course conductors under the Singapore Taekwondo Federation.

- Keumgang to Sipjin (Learning of the Poomsae for Level 2 participants)
- Jitae to Hansoo (Learning of the Poomsae for Level 3 participants)

Self Defence @Victoria JC on 4 Aug'09
On 4 Aug'09, Brian Sir, together with some black belters, conducted Beginner's Self Defence Course @Victoria Junior College students.
Over 50 students turned up.
The general feedback were positive and wished to continue Intermediate Self Defence Course, if available.
