Grading: Thank you, Black Belt!

It was an early cooling morning. Started with a little drizzling, but stopped almost at 9am.
We waited for most of the students to arrive and start off with stretching-by Benjamin.

The NYP carried on the tradition of going lunch as a big group, this time to MS Just Acia.

To All ZEN and NYP blackbelts who came down to Yishun Sports Hall to assist today.

We were requested in such a short notice to split our 80 students into 2 courts, thereby halving our blackbelts strength in each court. We managed to pull off and end the grading in a reasonable's time.

Wef from Jan 07, all ladies are required to wear plain white T-shirt beneath the tobok. Failing which, STF may stop the ladies from taking part of the grading.

(Wearing of Club Jersey is highly encouraged to ensure that students, especially young kids, will be easily identified if lost during transit, as there will be a lot of movement to shift from one location to another. And, to ensure that the uniform will be kept clean on the grading day.)

Local News : Grand Celebrations at Suntec City @19 June 2010

Come Saturday 19 June 2010, the Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) will be celebrating its anniversary with a grand dinner and dance at Ballrooms 1-3, Level 2, Suntec City.

National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships 2010

1. Registration @National TrainingCentre at Blk 80, Lorong Limau shall be as follows:

Senior 13 years and under (11 plus to 13 years old)
Junior Divisions 11 years and under on 1st January
- 12 April 2010 (Monday) from 3pm to 5pm

B Under 17 years old as - 14 years old to under 17 years old
& C Divisions Under 14 years old as

2. Submission of registration forms must be done in person on the

Chin Khee Shin Invitation Tournament 2010‏

Date: 20th March (1300hrs till 2100)
21st March (0900 - 2100)
Venue: Cheng San Community Club @6 Ang Mo Kio Street 53 Singapore 569205
Registeration Fee: $20/pax
Weigh in shall be on the tournament day itself.
Eligibility Grade: based on January 2010 grading or before, whichever is the latest
Only brown belts and above are allowed to participate. All brown belts must be within the 2 yrs period, ie only for brown belt who obtained their grades in the April 2008 grading or later.


CLASSIFICATIONS (FREE SPARRING)

Young Junior (1) :10 Years old and Below :Born on or after year 2000 - Head kick prohibited
Young Junior (2) :11 – 13 Years old :Born between the year 1997 to 1999 - Head kick prohibited
Junior :14 – 17 Years old :Born between the year 1993 to 1996 - Head kick prohibited
Senior :18 Years old and Above :Born on or before year 1992

Each club are to supply at least one referee.


ALL players are required to wear the following WTF approved equipment on entering the arena:

Tampines Changkat Zone 3 & 4 RC flyers distribution

On 6 Dec'09, a group of 11 NYP and Zenders gave up their usual Sunday morning rituals, sleep-in, etc and woke up early to meet and distribute flyers for Zone 3 and Zone 4, to promote Taekwondo.

Instead of just throwing the flyers into their letterboxes, NYP & Zenders went door-to-door and distribute the flyers with courtesy. If you are the resident and coincidently at the door when they arrive, you probably would have received their greetings!
