STF: Demonstration Workshop Filled With Energy

The 63 participants matched the challenges dished out by Lim Hyun of the Hyun Taekwondo Academy with energy and enthusiasm. And at the end of the training session, all of them had experienced the very difficult back flip.

You did not read it wrong. They did it with the assistance of the trainers and were on the high a feel of the movements. Something inside them told them that they could perform it without help if they had more practice. In fact, one of them believed she could and tried it on a new landing mat without supervision. She almost succeeded....

Talk on Taekwondo @Chatsworth International School (East Campus)

On 30 Sep, Chatsworth International School (East Campus) invited Brian Sir to give a 30min talk on Taekwondo. It was a rare sight where 9years old kids will stay still throughout the 45min speech that Brian Sir gave on the spirit of Taekwondo. He emphasized that it is not only the hands and feet destruction, but more about the tenants of the way of life that Taekwondo inbuilt into the students. At the end of the speech, Brian Sir shared a video featuring the Korean Demonstration Team. Students were encouraged to ask questions whenever in doubt. I have to admit that they are very "open" in their mindset which encourage steep learning.

Demonstration : Taekwondo Spectacular – A Great Show Not To Be Missed

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Singapore Taekwondo Federation proudly bring you a demonstration featuring the world famous Korean Tigers. The event will be part of the two-month long celebration of Korean culture and arts in Singapore.

The heart-stopping performance by a professional team which had wowed thousands all over the world will be held as follows.

Date : Saturday 30 October 2010
Time : 5.30 pm (Spectators to be seated by 7.15pm)
Venue : Toa Payoh Sports Hall
Fee : Free

We will meet at 5.30pm main entrance and proceed to the main stand in a group.

"To my NYP, once again well done for the performance...especially to aerobics wonder-girls as they scrificed their sundays for countless weekends and took leave for this event...not to forget our background supporters, Wee yong and Michelle (pls let me know if i miss anyone out). NYP Open House 7 to 9 Jan'10 photo/videos

Brian Sir and I took leave from work, to show our support on their Day 1 performance.

NYP were well coordinated and showed great team spirit.

All in all, it was a wonderful performance, considering that half of them were first timers!
