The annual Kyorugi Referee Refresher Seminar will be held on Sunday 11 April 2010 from 2.30pm to 6.30pm at the National Training Centre. The dress code for the event is ‘dobok’.
All active kyorugi referees must attend the seminar to have their licenses to officiate extended by a year. Coaches who are national referees are also encouraged to participate in the seminar. The knowledge will be invaluable to them if they wish to continue to be effective coaches.
Kyorugi referees with expired licenses may also attend the seminar. Their licenses will be renewed if they pass the assessment which will be conducted at the end of the seminar for all participants.
As the provision of referees is a pre-condition for participation in all STF organized or sanctioned tournaments, it is important for clubs to have their own pool of qualified referees.
Print the attached file and pass to Girlene mdm by 3Apr2010. Participants who turn up for the seminar without registering will not enjoy the same privilege as those who have done so.

Local News : Grand Celebrations at Suntec City @19 June 2010
Come Saturday 19 June 2010, the Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) will be celebrating its anniversary with a grand dinner and dance at Ballrooms 1-3, Level 2, Suntec City.

Well done NYP TKD in TOC 2010
This is the 2nd year Brian Sir, together with Polo Sir, Poh Ling mdm and Girlene mdm, brought NYP TKD team to NTU Taekwondo Open Championship (TOC). We climbed from last year's overall position to 4th in this year!

1 Gold comes from Poomsae and the rest comes from Kyorugi (Sparring). Out of 8 Kyorugi players, 7 brought back medals!

News: WTF Signs Recognition Contract with Daedo on Electronic Protectors
The World Taekwondo Federation signed a recognition contract with Daedo International on electronic protectors at the headquarters of the WTF in Seoul on Feb. 2, 2010. The term of the contract is three years.
With the signing, Daedo International, whose headquarters are located in Barcelona, Spain, became the second company whose electronic protector products were recognized by the WTF, after LaJUST. The WTF inked its first electronic protector recognition contract with LaJUST on Sept. 11, 2006.
